Grilled rhubarb dessert served on sourdough

Try something new on the grill! This is a great rhubarb dessert to cook on the grill if you like fun new combinations and flavors. Lemon cooked rhubarb on grilled sourdough topped with peanuts, honey and vanilla. How’s crazy doesn’t that sound!

Rhubarb served on Grilled toast

Prep Time: 25 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 40 minutes

Serving Size: 4

Ingredients

  • 5 rhubarbs
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 4 slices of sourdough bread 
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla powder
  • 1/4 cup of salted peanuts

Instructions

  1. Rinse and wash the rhubarb and then cut them into 10 cm long pieces, about 10 pieces.
  2. Boil the water and add 1 tablespoon honey and 1 teaspoon lemon juice, let the rhubarb boil for 
  3. about 5 minutes and then let it cool on paper. Meanwhile, cut up slices of bread
  4. and cut three parts so you get pieces that are the smilier size as the rhubarb slices.
  5. In a bowl, mix peanut butter with oil, honey and vanilla powder. Brush the bread and
  6. rhubarb pieces with the marinade and then place on the grill. When everything is grilled
  7. put the bread slices on a plate, sprinkle with the peanuts, top with rhubarb,
  8. some more peanuts and some honey. Cover the plate with aluminum foil and
  9. let it stay on the grill for 10-15 minutes.
  10. Serve with soy/oatgurt!
